If you’ve recently got your hands on a Wacom Inkling and have excitedly unwrapped the product and tried to install the “Sketch Maanger” software only to be greeted with the following…
…you may be wracking your brains and cursing Wacom. If like me your running a 64-Bit version of Windows 7 Professional you could try the following work around..
- Copy the setup.exe from the internal memory of the Wacom Inkling to your desktop.
- Right-click the setup.exe file and click “Properties”.
- Click on the “Compatibility” tab and choose to “Run this program in compatibility mode for: Windows XP (Service Pack 2)” then click “OK”. A screen grab of this can be seen below:
Then re-run the setup.exe and you should (thankfully!) see the successful install dialog:
If you still have no joy, try right clicking the setup.exe and choose “Troubleshoot compatibility” and try the suggested settings! If you’ve found these notes useful or have found other work arounds please feel free to leave a comment below. Happy Inkling!
